Society is a center for growth, learning, service and the nurturing of
the spiritual life. Its activities cover diverse fields. In these pages,
you will find samplings of its activities in the Philippine section.
Sessions are conducted by the lodges, study groups, self-transformation groups, or the national headquarters. Their purposes vary according to the needs of the participants. The public is welcome to participate in such study meetings. Just get in touch with the people responsible, and ask for the meeting time. The Self-Transformation Seminar is an avenue for the exploration of self-mastery and the nurturing of the spiritual life. Other courses are "Introductory Course in Theosophy" and "Intermediate Course in Theosophy." Call for schedules. This is an introduction to Theosophy. A textbook and study questions will be provided to the student. Theosophical Digest, Peace Ideas, books on theosophy, including electronic books. The Theosophical Order of Service has extensive programs on malnutrition, women, youth, cooperatives, community development, values education, etc. This work is done through the Green Earth Foundation. Conducts Peace Education Seminars, networks with peace movements and publishes Peace Ideas
The Golden Link Youth Organization conducts youth camps, youth circles in various cities, and is involved in the Golden Link School.
The library is open to the public, either for room reading or borrowing. The Theosophical Society runs four schools in three cities in the Philippines.
Membership is open to all persons without any distinction. Those below 18 years of age must have the consent of their parents or guardian. Write to the National Headquarters for an application form. A member is not required to subscribe to any system of belief except sympathy to the ideal of universal brotherhood. Lodges and study groups are centers of studies and fellowship. The Theosophical Society is non-sectarian and visitors are welcome to take part in the meetings in the spirit of brotherhood and in the quest for truth. Call up any lodge or study group in your area and ask for the meeting time and place.
