Metro Manila

Metro Manila is a huge city of 10 million people. Here you will find the old and the new. Deep in the old city is the famed walled city called Intramuros where the architecture of the Spanish colonial period is still retained. A few kilometers away one finds the landmarks of modern Manila, such as the Mall of Asia, one of the largest shopping malls in Asia. Not far from it, you will will enter Makati, the financial center of the Philippines.

For the City Tour on November 5, 2007, you will be brought to the old part of Manila and visit historical museums that show the old art and relics during the Spanish era of Philippine history. We will pass by the old cobblestone streets of Intramuros or the historic walled city. The morning tour ends with a vegetarian lunch in a Taiwan-style vegetarian restaurant. In the afternoon, the group will proceed to visit the Golden Link School, a secondary educational institution established by the Theosophical Society in the Philippines.
